what is counselling?

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that allows a person to talk about their thoughts, problems and feelings in a confidential and dependable environment. A counsellor is trained to listen with empathy. They can help you deal with negative thoughts and feelings. Sometimes the term "counselling" is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right.

Before engaging in the therapy a consultation will determine suitability. Each session will last approximately an hour. You will be in a confidential environment with your counsellor who will endeavour to give support in order to address your important issues.
